AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: Praying the Bible into Your Life by Stormie Omartian

In Praying the Bible into Your Life, Stormie Omartian gives us a fresh look at scripture by encouraging us to utilize the words of the scriptures in the words of our prayers.  She works through each of the Bible books (literally, all 66 of them), choosing particular scriptures and then providing a prayer that incorporates its ideas and phrases.

The selected readings are all short—just a handful of verses at the most.  The prayers are short as well, and although they’re definitely complete prayers in and of themselves, they would work well as prayer prompts as well.

This is a great listen!  The narration is spot-on.  I wish there was a 3×5 card edition, with the scripture selections and prayers each printed on their own card.  Or a desk calendar version.  I’m serious!  How useful that would be!  I recommend this book for those who want to breathe new life into both their Bible reading and prayer, as both will benefit from listening to this.
